Carolyn Bascon, LMFT-A, provides counseling for teens, adults and couples. She is trained in counseling for depression, counseling for anxiety, marriage and couples counseling, counseling for trauma and parent-child relationships.

Carolyn is a trauma-informed counselor who desires genuine healing and contentment for her clients. Carolyn works with clients ages 11 and older, including middle-school-aged children, teens, young adults, adults, couples and families.

Carolyn has a deep appreciation for people seeking therapy as a way to grow and learn more about themselves. She works from an attachment lens and family systems perspective, believing our relationships have a great influence on our lives, and that we can find healing through relationship with one another. Carolyn is trained in Gottman levels 1 and 2 as well as Internal Family Systems. Some of Carolyn’s experience includes individuals and families who struggle with:

  • Marriage Discord

  • Depression and Anxiety

  • Self-worth

  • Religious Identity

  • Relationship Difficulties (family, friends, partners, etc.)

  • Juveniles in the Court System

  • Anger

  • Life Transitions

Carolyn aims to create a safe environment to journey with clients as they explore their lives with a sense of self-compassion. She would be honored to join you on your path to greater fulfillment.

Carolyn was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country. She received her Bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M University, and her Master’s in Professional Counseling at Texas State University. In her free time, Carolyn can be found spending time with her family and exploring new places to eat good food and enjoy live music.
