"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."
Our Therapists work with children ages 6 and older. We use a variety of treatment techniques, including play therapy, sand-tray, and parent-child therapy. Our child clients often come to therapy for issues with anger, attention and focus, anxiety/excessive worry, family transitions, and grief and loss. We help children learn more about themselves and their relationships, and strive to build confidence through identifying their strengths and processing feelings.
We help our child clients feel heard, understood and teach them to identify and express feelings. We also help parents and children learn to talk and listen in ways that strengthen connection and enhance the quality of the relationship.
