Our Clinicians

Rachel Saenger, LPC-S, LMFT-S

Founder and Clinical Therapist

I know making changes can be challenging, but as your therapist, our focus will be on moving you toward your goals.  You'll leave our sessions with concrete tools you can start using right away. Our work will often go deeper, creating a greater understanding of yourself and of your relationships. We'll work to explore deeply held beliefs about yourself and others that may not be serving you or your relationship any longer, and get to re-writing these beliefs to increase feelings of wellbeing and relationship satisfaction.

Some of my areas of expertise:

  • Specialized (MFT) training in marriage and couples therapy

  • Children (6+) and teens struggling with self esteem issues, stress and managing big feelings.

  •  Adults struggling with anxiety/depression or the transition from one stage of life to another.

  • Anxiety resolution through Emotional Freedom Techniques (Tapping) and Cognitive-Behavioral Strategies.

  • Clients across the lifespan struggling with grief and loss

  • Holistic approaches: mindfulness, meditation, yoga breathing techniques, tapping for emotional release and diet/exercise

  • Telehealth for clients who are physically unable to come in to the office.

How I work:

I combine listening non-judgmentally and supporting my clients with teaching practical tools that can help to develop greater feelings of confidence and personal success. My goal is to help you process feelings, feel less stuck, and learn skills that can help you make long-term changes in overall wellness, relationship satisfaction, and thinking and belief patterns.

Experience and training:

I have been a therapist for over 12 years working with children, teens, adults and couples. I have a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling. I value and enjoy working with a variety of ages and life stages. I'm certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques, and am a trained New Ways for Families provider for divorcing couples. I’ve worked in high school counseling clinics, a community counseling clinic, a program for veterans, and have been in private practice for 12 years. I am also a supervisor for LPC and LMFT interns working toward licensure.
