Maggie Lowery, LMSW
Maggie is a Licensed Master Social Worker and has over ten years of experience working with teens and adults. She collaborates with clients to help them work toward the changes they are hoping to make in their lives. Maggie uses a warm, compassionate, humorous, curious and direct approach. She understands that a feeling of safety is needed to embody true healing. She enjoys building therapeutic rapport and ensuring individuals have a safe container from which to process and move through feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, societal alienation and past trauma. Maggie uses a person-centered approach and largely utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques and psychoeducation in session.
Maggie is accepting new clients, including teens ages 15 and up, adults, and couples. Her areas of specialization include working with adult children of alcoholics, teen girls, individual adults navigating through difficult relationship dynamics, and couples struggling to find better ways to communicate with one another and seeking peace in their relationship. Maggie is LBGTQ+ affirming.
