A Message to the Georgetown Texas Community

At Georgetown Counseling and Wellness we are so very proud of the work we do with our clients and within the wider community. We wanted to take some time to allow others in the Georgetown TX area to get to know our group therapy practice a little better. In our latest blog, we hear from Rachel Saenger LPC-S, LMFT-S, founder of Georgetown Counseling and Wellness. One of our dedicated therapists, Kristie Lensing, LPC, also takes the time to answer some of our questions.

A Note From Rachel Saenger, LPC-S, LMFT-S, Founder of Georgetown Counseling and Wellness

“Georgetown Counseling and Wellness was founded in April 2019. It was born from realizing a need for more comprehensive mental health services in the area, and it evolved to help meet more of those needs.”

- Rachel Saenger LPC-S, LMFT-S, founder of Georgetown Counseling and Wellness

At the practice, we work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families to help our clients heal from past wounds, learn new, more effective ways to deal with big feelings, communicate better with loved ones, and become more confident and hopeful in their relationships.

We work to help our clients create or regain the life they want. With that goal in mind, we have a holistic body, mind and spirit approach to our services. We work not just with thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, but we believe that change also involves practicing skills like breathwork, meditation, yoga and when it’s an option, leaning on one’s own spiritual beliefs.

I often teach my clients a practice of tapping acupressure points on the face and shoulders to trigger the body’s natural healing processes and find relief from stress, tension, and anxiety.

Although we work with a variety of issues, the core of the work we do is helping our clients find relief from depression and anxiety. I personally enjoy helping clients navigate through difficult life transitions such as a death, divorce, starting a new job or school program, or going from one life stage to another. Each therapist at GTCW has their own unique treatment approaches, backgrounds and specialties. Find out more here.
