Client Testimonials
"The changes I have seen and felt since working with Ashley have been nothing short of amazing. She is truly a blessing to me and to the Georgetown Counseling and Wellness practice. She has shown me that I can be so much more than I previously gave myself credit for, and together we have navigated some troubled (and sometimes treacherous) waters. But I am coming out of that dark place more and more each week, and I’m surprising not only myself but my family, as well. The difference is very noticeable, and I owe so much to Ashley and her wisdom."
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working with individuals and families experiencing trauma, loss, prolonged separation, and adverse life experiences. I work with children, teens, adults, and couples, focusing much of my professional work on working with clients through relational experiences, and struggles across the lifespan.

My approach to counseling centers on the relational aspects of life, particularly supporting clients learning to strengthen the bonds between themselves and those closest to them. I believe in fostering a safe, accepting, and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to explore their experiences and seek resolution in areas where they feel stuck.

Some of the areas I specialize in supporting include:
-
Military, veterans, and first responders
-
Trauma-focused approaches (EMDR, CPT, and TF-CBT)
-
Couples and marital counseling
-
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and families
-
Attachment injuries
-
Life transitions
-
Grief, loss, and separation
-
Perinatal and postpartum mental health
-
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
-

Collaborating on the best approach with each client is at the center of my work. I enjoy integrating various approaches to help clients resolve hurts, restore health, and work toward their desired goals and potential. I prioritize my clients feeling seen, heard, and understood in the counseling space and beyond. My goal is to help clients feel connected to their life and fulfilled in their relationships with others.
I have experience working in group practice, hospital, perinatal health, and outpatient settings. This has afforded the opportunity to understand the various approaches and needs for clients and families across the lifespan. I am an Army veteran, and hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES), with a passion for mentoring and leading others. My research interests focus on best practices for supporting military families experiencing posttraumatic stress.
