Employment at Georgetown Counseling and Wellness

Georgetown Counseling and Wellness is a growing group practice of helping professionals working to enhance the mental well-being of children, adults, families, and couples in our community. We are a growth-oriented, dynamic, and collaborative group of clinicians who value working to help improve the health and wellness of our community.

We are looking to bring two Clinical therapists on board to provide outpatient individual and couples therapy to clients of Georgetown Counseling and Wellness. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, couples and families. Clinical Therapists must be open to working with couples. Other treatment specialties may include: children, teens, trauma, EMDR, etc. Clinical Therapists must be licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Preference given to applicants who are fully licensed, have evening and/or weekend availability, as well as applicants with experience doing couple's therapy and EMDR. This position is W2 employee-status, and bimonthly salary is based on a percentage of your billed services. All marketing, intake scheduling, and overhead costs are included.

Hours and schedule are negotiable, but clinician must be willing to work some evenings and/or weekend hours, and be willing to see a minimum of 15 clients a week. The majority of our clients are seen in-person, and a small number via telehealth.

Our ideal candidate is a therapist who is eager to learn and grow, has demonstrated areas of specialization, and has a longer-term interest in working in a group practice setting. We welcome candidates from diverse cultural backgrounds

Reports to: Rachel Saenger, LPC-S, LMFT-S, Owner and Clinical Director.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

​

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and

  • Active license (LPC, LPC-Associate, LMFT, LMFT-Associate, LMSW or LCSW) in the State of Texas (must be fully licensed). A copy must be provided to Georgetown Counseling and Wellness.

  • Available to hold at least 15 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Georgetown Counseling and Wellness.

  • Able to work with couples

  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

​

​

  • Perform on-site clinical counseling services to clients of Georgetown Counseling and Wellness, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.

  • Attend bimonthly staff meetings and quarterly training as directed by Georgetown Counseling and Wellness.

  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of Georgetown Counseling and Wellness. 

  • Maintain weekly accurate records for each client including diagnoses and treatment plans, progress notes and billing records. 

  • Interest and commitment to being part of a positive, collaborative work culture.
